A lovely return to the stage

The last couple of months have brought with them a bunch of shows and a lovely welcome back to performing. I’ve played at a few really nice venues with some great audiences, so a big thanks to everyone that’s come along to my shows. No future shows penned in just yet but there will be more to come later in the year.

The Belle Curve is keeping busy too with a few exciting things on the horizon. We have a brand new website too: www.thebellecurveband.com

I’m Baaaaack…Winter Shows in 2010!

Well…the strings have been restrung, the dates are locked in, and I shall be on stage before I know it!

There’s that buzzy feeling again. I remember this, though it’s been awhile. I have a bunch of gigs coming up at both old and new venues to me, including the gorgeous Lizotte’s in Kincumber which is always a pleasure to play at. Click on the “shows” button to see the list of upcoming gigs, and hopefully I’ll see you at a show, or two!

It’s funny how after years of playing guitar, and long after you first went through the excruciating feeling of strumming a steel string for the first time, your fingers can go soft when you don’t play for awhile. I’ve been torturing mine lately, writing some new songs and finishing off many half complete ones that are eager to see the light of day. The pain is definitely worth it.

After a rather long hiatus (much longer than planned) I’m currently in the process of booking some solo shows for the rest of this year. My other music project “The Belle Curve” is also busily making music and have a few gigs coming up over the next month or two, which is super exciting!

So, you know how it goes…keep an eye on my shows page for upcoming gigs, and join the mailing list if you’d like updates. Can’t wait to get back out there and start gigging again. Hope to see you soon

Hibernation

So…I’ve been in hibernation for a little longer than expected.

I’ve spent this year regathering myself, and rediscovering what this music stuff is really all about to me. It’s easy to get caught up in all the superfluousness. I’ve created some new material. And recreated some old. And I think I’d like to share it with you.

A busy bee

I’ve been quite the busy bee lately organising gigs and bits and pieces to promote the release of my new CD (click on the music button to have a listen and, if you like, buy the CD). I’ve been playing around Sydney, The Central Coast, Newcastle, Port Macquarie, have done some interviews and On-Air live performances, and next week I’m off to Canberra!
I’ve put some new clippings in the “press” section where you can see me on the front cover of “The Happenings” in Port Macquarie.
I also have lots of shows coming up over the next month, so pop into my “shows” page to have a squiz!
